The Home Depot Foundation

In 2011, The Home Depot Foundation made a major shift in its giving to focus on creating and renovating safe spaces for Veterans and their families. After making an initial commitment of $30 million over three years, to date the foundation has invested more than $100 million in the Veteran community through organizations like Team Rubicon, Semper Fi Fund, the Gary Sinise Foundation, the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans, Operation Homefront, Student Veterans of America, and many more.

The Home Depot Foundation also provides highly-skilled volunteers to projects in the form of its Team Depot, which is made up of The Home Depot associates. Additionally, the foundation often provides supplies for projects and, with organizations like Team Rubicon, the use of its stores’ facilities as base camps.
