Sean Spicer

Former White House Press Secretary

Sean M. Spicer, a Commander in the U.S. Navy Reserves, served as the White House Press Secretary and as acting White House Communications Director under President Donald Trump in 2017. He was the RNC Communications Director from 2011-2017, and Chief Strategist since February of 2015. He previously served as Assistant United States Trade Representative for Media and Public Affairs in the George W. Bush administration, logging over 440,000 miles of international travel. He began his political career in the 1990s working for Republican representatives and began his Navy career as a public affairs officer in 1999. In 2012, he joined the DNC’s Communications Director to shave their heads on ABC’s This Week, after raising $16,000 for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation and they also worked together to raise $30,000 for military public affairs officers in an event they dubbed, “Flacks for Flacks Who Wear Flak Jackets."
