Military and Veteran Hiring Program, Allstate Insurance
After serving as Congressman Bob Dold’s Veterans Outreach Coordinator, Scott transitioned to Allstate’s Military and Veteran Hiring Program at the early stages of the program. Scott took charge of building and strengthening Allstate’s efforts to hire Veterans and to educate their workforce on the skills and values Veterans bring to the organization. A major part of this effort was creating and delivering a training program to Allstate recruiters on how to read and translate Veterans’ resumes into like-activities in the insurance world and culture.
As a result, Allstate placed over 400 Veterans into a sales role in 2018, as well as 300 Veterans into corporate roles. These results were recognized by militaryfriendly.com, as they named Allstate the #2 Military Friendly Employer for 2018. Scott is a Marine Corps Veteran.
