Joe Cardond

Joe Cardona, a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and U.S. Naval Reserve Lieutenant Junior Grade, is headed to Super Bowl XLII February 4th, 2018 with the New England Patriots. Cardona won his first Super Bowl ring with New England in their 2017 win over the Atlanta Falcons in overtime. Cardona was drafted in 2015 by the New England Patriots making him the fourth pure long snapper to be drafted in NFL history. Cardona remains active in the Navy Reserves and continues to serve with the Naval Academy Prep School’s football team. Following his second Super Bowl, Cardona is eagerly awaiting his upcoming first overseas assignment to the Korean peninsula with the US Navy and says, “that is what all his work at the Navy Academy was about.”
