Businesses Focused on Veterans

The individuals in this category are the leaders and founders of businesses created with veterans in mind. They offer services and provide resources and solutions that benefit veterans and military service members. The companies’ efforts work to strengthen the community by directly supporting veterans through unique and diverse initiatives. This category includes the more traditional and long-standing supporters of veterans, to the newer, veteran-founded businesses, both of which are focused on bringing relevant tools and resources to the veteran community.

Seda Goff, Bunker Labs

An experienced founder and entrepreneur with a demonstrated history of working in the startup community, Seda Goff is the Director of Bunker Labs DC. Skilled in business planning, sales, market research, management, and development, Seda leads the Bunker Labs team, which provides educational programming, mentors, events and cultivates a thriving local network to help military veterans start and grow businesses. Seda is a graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder and holds an MBA from American University in Washington D.C. where she resides with her husband, daughter and little white dog named Toby.


David Vardeman, Capital Bank

David Vardaman manages Capital Bank’s outbound business development and networking in the Greater Washington Region, supervising 8 employees. David has a triangle of goals involving individual, team, and staff objectives requiring self management, coaching, and ongoing strategic planning. Over the last 2 years, David has facilitated and managed a portfolio growing at 135%, producing over $100 million in deposit production sales. He has built an extensive network in the business and military community, providing not for profit banking services. David focuses Capital Bank’s philanthropic outreach to all branches of the military, trying to impact as many issues as possible. In addition, David continues to expand banking services to military non-profits and he is often asked for help in strategic planning for associations, membership-based non-profits, and special event fundraising and planning.


Adam Neumann, Co-Founder & CEO WeWork

WeWork was Co-Founded in 2010 by Neumann to build shared office spaces that went beyond aesthetics but instead build a community. Rory Brosius, ScoutComms

Rory was Deputy Director for First Lady Obama and Dr. Biden’s Joining Forces program before leaving the Administration in January, 2017 and joining ScoutComms as a Vice President. Today she is leading the efforts for a broad range of clients in the veteran and military family sectors including USAA, the USAA Educational Foundation, NatGeo, Give an Hour and Student Veterans of America. In her free time she serves on the boards of two veterans focused nonprofits; Code of Support and Bastion Community in New Orleans. She also serves on the Six Certified Committee for Got Your 6. Rory is the spouse of a Marine veteran and tireless supporter of our community.
